A pair of wins on Sunday lifted the Southwest Shockers Red team to the championship in the "The LockerRoom" College World Series Tournament.
The Shockers Red opened up Sunday play with an 8-5 win over Millard South, followed by a convincing 11-3 win over the Souix Falls Cyclones in the title game.
Seth Petzold led the Shockers Red at the plate in the title game, batting 3 for 3. Tito Jones homered, while Petzold, Jarrett Phillips and Austin Kuhlman all drove in runs.
Tyler Garcia earned the victory on the mound, striking out two in two innings of work without allowing a hit or a walk.
In the morning victory over Millard South, Phillips broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the fifth with a run-scoing double.
Colin Klingensmith, Brooks Red, Brett Hopkins and Kuhlman each had multiple hits for the Shockers Red, with Hopkins and Nate Richardson driving in multiple runs.
Jaken Snider earned the mound vicotry, allowing four runs off seven hits while striking out seven over six innings of work.
The Shockers are 31-2.
